Islamic Bank of Thailand (ibank) Participates in the Celebration of the 54th UAE National Day

The Islamic Bank of Thailand (ibank), led by Dr. Thaweelap Rittapirom, Director and President, together with the Bank’s executives, attended the reception celebrating the 54th Anniversary of the Union Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE National Day), which falls on 2 December each year. The event was held at the Grand Ballroom, InterContinental Bangkok, on 1 December 2025.

 

During the ceremony, Dr. Thaweelap presented a congratulatory flower basket to H.E. Mr. Obaid Saeed Obaid Bintaresh Aldhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to The Kingdom of Thailand, on this significant occasion. The gesture reflects the longstanding goodwill and constructive relations between Thailand—particularly within the Islamic financial sector—and the United Arab Emirates.

 

On this occasion, Dr. Thaweelap and the delegation also took the opportunity to meet and exchange views with ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from various countries, including those from Muslim nations attending the event. These engagements further strengthened international relations and supported future cooperation in areas related to Islamic finance and broader bilateral collaboration.
