This development aims to align with customers’ digital lifestyles, providing convenience and ease in banking activities. It marks a highly anticipated moment for ibank, being the first financial institution in Thailand to introduce an application that adheres strictly to Shariah principles. Today, ibank unveiled the ibank Application at the Pattani Central Mosque. Aside from being the most beautiful Islamic place of worship and a symbol of the beauty of Thai Muslims, this mosque remains a focal point for the three southern border provinces, serving as a pivotal customer base for ibank.”

In this initial phase, users of the ibank Application can transfer funds from the application to their own accounts, to other individuals’ accounts within the bank, to accounts in other banks, and to PromptPay numbers. They can also view account information and transactions history. Additionally, they can perform Zakat calculations, which represent an essential religious duty for Muslims with specific wealth conditions. The app provides branch and ATM locator services, along with communication channels with the bank. The bank aims to offer the best customer service, continuously enhancing the ibank Application. Subsequently, additional services will be gradually introduced, such as bill payments, top-up services, electronic donations, QR code scanning for payments, managing favorite transactions, notification services, credit account management, setting up future fund transfers, creating QR codes for receiving funds, applying for PromptPay services, cardless cash withdrawals, changing ATM PINs, and opening online accounts. All these improvements aim to provide customers with greater convenience and ease of use compared to before.”
